1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They help keep you signed in, manage security tokens, and make the website work.
2. Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for Vendvisor to function securely and may therefore be used without separate consent.
- nexus_session — login session identifier. Purpose: keeping you signed in. Lifetime: up to 7 days.
- csrf_token — security token used on the application domain to protect forms and API requests. Purpose: preventing unauthorized requests. Lifetime: up to 7 days. The public marketing site does not set it.
- vendvisor_ui_language — remembers a manually selected Hungarian or English interface language across vendvisor.hu and app.vendvisor.hu. Purpose: preserving your language choice between the two interfaces; it is not used for tracking. It is set only when you switch language manually, lasts up to one year, and can be removed by clearing browser site data. If you are signed in, the choice is also saved in your account language setting.
- nexus_imp_return — a secure return session used only for logged support impersonation initiated by a platform administrator. Lifetime: up to one hour.
Functional settings stored in the browser
Vendvisor stores the following information in local browser storage rather than cookies, solely to remember user-selected interface state:
- nl_billing_cycle — the user's choice of monthly or annual billing view. Created only when the switch is actually used.
- vendvisor_theme — remembers the workspace's system, light, or dark theme after login. Retained until browser site data is cleared. The data is not sent to third parties.
- vendvisor_ui_v3_sidebar_collapsed — whether the user has chosen to leave the application sidebar open or collapsed.
- vendvisor_announcement_dismissed_<identifier> — whether a dismissible in-app announcement has been hidden.
- vendvisor_cookie_notice_ack_v1 — records locally that the user closed the one-time essential-technology notice by clicking “I understand.” This is not consent, is not sent to the server, and does not enable marketing or analytics technology.
These settings do not contain a personal profile or tracking identifier, are not passed to third parties, and remain until browser site data is cleared. An announcement setting ceases to have a purpose once that announcement is removed.
3. Optional cookies
Vendvisor currently does not use marketing or analytics cookies on the public site or in the application. The “I understand / Details” bar shown on a first visit to vendvisor.hu or app.vendvisor.hu provides information about essential technologies only; it is not a consent banner.
For the product tour video, Vendvisor counts plays, viewing milestones, and pilot-button use only by day and display surface, without identifying visitors. This measurement uses no cookie, local tracking identifier, fingerprint, or third-party analytics code.
If marketing measurement, detailed analytics, remarketing pixels, or similar non-essential technologies are introduced later, this policy will be updated. Where required, a separate, genuine consent interface will appear before those technologies are activated.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies or Site data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, form protection, or some application functions from working properly.
